They are seeking a Surgical Technologist Lead who will act as the shift lead, assist management with daily operations, and perform technical support in the perioperative period under the supervision of a RN.

Responsibilities

Acts as the shift lead to staff and assists management with daily operations of the department

The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care

Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field

Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc

Assists with inventory of sterile supplies

May assist in patient transport

Qualification

Surgical Tech CertificationSterile techniqueBasic Life Support CertificationBroad Knowledge of specialty proceduresInterpersonal skills

Required

Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or LPN Technical Diploma and 2 years surgical technician experience OR completion of a military or hospital based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience

Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up

Broad Knowledge of specialty procedures, instrumentation and equipment

Interpersonal skills
