Responsibilities
Prepare closing documents in accordance with loan terms, investor guidelines, and applicable state and federal regulations
Review final loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to closing
Confirm closing conditions have been met and coordinate funding requests with appropriate departments
Communicate with title companies, escrow agents, attorneys, and internal departments to confirm closing details and resolve issues
Ensure timely and compliant delivery of closing packages to appropriate parties
Maintain detailed records and update loan origination system with final closing status
Monitor workflow timelines to ensure closings are completed within designated schedules
Assist with post-closing and audit requests as needed
Stay informed of changes in lending regulations, investor requirements, and internal policy updates
Partner with the Mortgage Compliance Manager to address risk mitigation and ensure adherence to all regulatory expectations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mortgage lending or financial services
3+ years of experience in mortgage closing or a related role
Solid understanding of TRID, RESPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency with loan origination systems and closing software
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment
