The Wastewater Operator will be responsible for operating the wastewater treatment plant in compliance with environmental regulations while performing daily maintenance and troubleshooting operational issues.
Environmental Consulting
Responsibilities
Operating the WWTP in compliance with applicable local, state, and Federal environmental requirements
Performing daily rounds
Assisting with equipment repairs
Troubleshooting and correcting operational problems
Grounds keeping
Pressure washing
Light painting
Sweeping
Cleaning
Shoveling
Responding to emergency situations
Working in inclement weather
Participating in an 'on call' rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours
Qualification
Required
High School Degree or Equivalent
Applicant must possess a valid driver's License and maintain a good driving record
Knowledge of computer applications, and ability to use & learn various software programs [Hach WIMS, SEMS CMMS, and Utility Cloud]
Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment
Preferred
A wastewater license is not required but a Kentucky Wastewater license is preferred. We will work with employees to obtain licensure
