They are seeking a Sr. Project Engineer who will manage transportation projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction while participating in business development efforts.

Design

Responsibilities

Serves as project manager with autonomy for project related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects
Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects
Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects
Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects
Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations and will be Engineer of Record on some projects
Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits and designs for various projects
May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineer’s activities
Actively participates in supporting business development efforts and attends client meetings and makes presentations in support of the client and projects
Visits construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents

Qualification

Licensed IL Professional EngineerTransportation engineering experienceProject management skillsMicrosoft OfficeMicroStationORDClient managementBusiness developmentCollaboration

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program
8-20 years transportation or traffic engineering experience
IDOT or local agency IL project experience is required
Licensed IL Professional Engineer, PE
Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients and Administrators
Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously

Preferred

Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and ORD
