Responsibilities
Design end-to-end experiences that help people understand, trust, and return to ChatGPT
Collaborate with product, engineering, and content design to run experiments and ship high-impact improvements
Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, intuitive interfaces that lower barriers to entry
Use data and research to guide decisions, while knowing when to trust your instincts
Contribute to the evolution of OpenAI’s design systems and voice
Help establish our design culture and grow our team
Qualification
Required
Have a strong portfolio showing thoughtful product design, with experience in growth, onboarding, or consumer-facing products
Are comfortable working in fast cycles—sketching, prototyping, and testing ideas quickly
Are able to balance qualitative insights with quantitative data
Have excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
Have a genuine curiosity about AI and how it can shape new user behaviors
