Technical Training and Quality Assurance Manager- Generator Division

Air Centers of Florida is focused on providing high-quality service in the generator sector. The Technical Training and Quality Assurance Manager will develop and oversee training for generator service technicians, ensuring quality and consistency in fieldwork while providing technical support across departments.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Responsible for complete training essentials during the onboarding process of technicians, including but not limited to:
Safety and PPE usage
Technician use of business system (Fieldservio) to complete all work orders
All documentation required by the office and specific customers
Proper usage and operation of company owned equipment - load banks, fuel polishing, trailers, etc
Coordinate with branch service manager to assess new technician abilities and provide additional training as needed
Prepare documented release to the field with specific abilities to service manager
Identify training needs of our technician group and develop programs to address those needs
Develop and implement specific training needs and objectives for each technician, with service manager input
Regularly review the dispatch board and technician notes to stay abreast of quality issues and training needs
Maintain training records for each technician
Accompany technicians to jobsites as required to assure their training needs are met
Respond to field technician calls and provide technical support
Provide technical assistance for Equipment and Aftermarket Sales as needed
Assist service managers with technician performance reviews
Identify training needs on all ACF offered products and organize classroom or field training
Participate regular meetings with technicians and respective service managers
Provide feedback and collaborate with service managers on technician performance
Oversee escalated and special projects that require a high level of technical aptitude as required. Communicate with essential parties and assure these projects are completed in a timely and effective manner
Ensure consistent quality of production by enforcing QA guidelines, validating processes, and providing documentation
Assist the ACF Safety Coordinator to assure compliance with safety and environmental procedures
Required to conduct out of town business such as: conventions, trade shows, meetings, and training as needed
Promote a positive ACF culture by representing the company values of honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility and encouraging synergy among all team members
Assist the service operations team with customer issues as needed
Stay up to date with industry standards and codes (NFPA110, NEC, FDEP, AHCA, etc). Educate technicians accordingly and develop and maintain associated forms (load bank, startup, maintenance)
Provide weekly cadence report of activities - ongoing and upcoming
Evaluate and reestablish yearly work goals
Assist other ACF departments with technical support as needed

Required

Master/Senior Generator Service Technician certification, or comparable
Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel) and database business systems
Incorporate time management skills on a continuous basis
Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to organizational and market changes
Training skills and power generation knowledge are essential
Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills including excellent oral and written communication
Ability to perform work that exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and sit for extended periods of time
Job functions will require frequent talking, walking, standing, and hearing
Must have visual acuity to perform work on a computer, to inspect/utilize equipment, manage data, and operate forklift vehicles
Ability to perform functions during occasional bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, feeling, climbing, balancing, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling and finger activities; Required to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) as applicable
Must be able to work while being exposed to non-climate-controlled environments, moving parts, driving, and loud noise levels
Frequent travel throughout ACFs service area as required for field service training with technicians and/or special projects
