Responsibilities
Develop and maintain test plans and procedures for functional, performance, and reliability testing
Design, build, and calibrate test fixtures, harnesses, and automated test setups
Execute tests on integrated systems, collecting and analyzing data to evaluate product performance
Identify failures, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and document corrective actions
Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive design-for-testability improvements
Ensure testing adheres to industry standards (e.g., UL, CSA, NEMA, ISO)
Support continuous improvement: automate test sequences, enhance data collection, and refine reporting
Maintain test documentation, test tool configuration, and lab environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Test Engineering, or related field
3-5+ years of experience in test engineering for electronics, electro-mechanical systems, or similar products
Proficient in test bench methodology, instrumentation (oscilloscopes/multimeters), and scripting for automation (Python, LabVIEW, etc.)
Strong analytical skills for test data analysis and troubleshooting
Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, CSA, NEMA, and relevant EMC/EMI test procedures
Effective communication and documentation capabilities
Preferred
Experience working with power electronics, PCBs, motors, or electromechanical assemblies
Exposure to automated test systems, regression testing workflows, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups
Knowledge of ISO 17025 lab accreditation processes
Trends in functional safety (e.g., IEC 61508) and EMC compliance
