Assistant Project Manager | Municipal & Water Resources

The Assistant Project Manager will support project managers throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on municipal and water resources projects to enhance community infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Assist with the design and development of municipal and water resources projects, including stormwater, utilities, roads, and site improvements
Prepare and coordinate permit applications (e.g., PADEP, PENNDOT), ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Participate in site visits, contractor meetings, and review of submittals to ensure project quality and compliance
Help develop project budgets, monitor performance in project management system, and support billing and invoicing efforts
Represent the company in meetings, contribute to proposals, and support business development in the municipal sector
Prepare plans, specifications, contract documents, cost opinions, and funding applications
Ensure accuracy and quality of all calculations, reports, and design criteria
Work closely with project managers, engineers, technicians, and clients to deliver successful projects
Participate in staff training and provide input on staffing needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
4+ years of professional civil engineering experience, with a focus on municipal consulting, stormwater, roads, utilities, construction administration, ordinance, plan review, PADEP permits, grant applications, project presentations, and specification writing
Experience preparing drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sedimentation control calculations and reports
Experience with project manuals, construction specifications, contract administration, and subdivision and land development ordinances for municipal plan reviews
Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a client-focused approach
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers (or similar stormwater modeling programs)
Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc
Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
Valid US Driver's License is required
Legal authorization to work in the U.S
Preferred
E.I.T. Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
