Compliance Specialist (P/T)
New York Edge is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to manage pre-employment operations within their compliance department. The role involves conducting background checks, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring compliance paperwork is accurately collected and reviewed.

Responsibilities
Complete employment background checks adhering to City, State and Federal contract and licensing requirements
Serve as the main point of contact during the background check process to candidates providing high levels of customer support and follow up with candidates and external agencies
Update individual candidate tracker systems and report out to candidates and management as needed
Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems
Meet with new or returning employees to collect and review compliance paperwork ensuring complete and accurate submissions during assigned office hours and as needed
Conduct periodic site compliance file audits as assigned
Additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a HS Diploma or Equivalent
At least one (1) year of experience in Human Resources, Administrative, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to exhibit a high degree of confidentiality
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and managing multiple projects
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficient with Google applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Preferred
Some college credits preferred
