EOP Research Data Analyst 2
Stanford University is dedicated to solving education's greatest challenges through the Graduate School of Education (GSE). They are seeking a Research Data Analyst 2 to support the Educational Opportunity Project by developing and analyzing a novel database of kindergarten readiness assessment data, requiring collaboration and independent work with a strong statistical background.

Responsibilities
Extract and clean data from a variety of sources, including state departments of education and the federal government, and maintain its accuracy and completeness
Identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and eliminate root cause of data problems
Build replicable and efficient software code for data cleaning and estimation
Design and customize reports based upon data in the database
Create complex charts and databases, perform statistical analyses, and develop graphs and tables for publication and presentation
Serve as a resource for non-routine inquiries such as requests for statistics
Create documentation for all code
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience
Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering
Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs, including Stata
Excellent writing and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize workload
Preferred
Master's or doctoral degree preferred
3+ years experience in Stata statistical programming preferred
3+ years experience supporting quantitative social science research projects preferred
Experience managing and analyzing large datasets preferred
Experience developing efficient code architectures preferred
Familiarity with advanced statistical methods (e.g., hierarchical linear modeling) a plus
Experience working with K-12 or postsecondary education data a plus
