Responsibilities

Assist in developing and enhancing digital platforms that improve customer experience and drive engagement

Support infrastructure projects, help maintain system performance, and contribute to automation initiatives

Collaborate on application development, testing, and deployment using modern programming languages and frameworks

Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and gain exposure to service management and operational excellence

Support the enterprise data team by assisting in data collection, cleaning, and analysis to drive business insights and improve data-driven decision-making

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Analytics or a related field

Candidates must be available to work a hybrid work model, 40 hours per week for the duration of the program starting in June

Occasional travel within corporate footprint (Buffalo and Rochester) will also be required

At least 1 year in one or more club(s), volunteerism efforts, or other activities outside of the classroom

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and serve in every facet of work

Familiarity with basic IT concepts including networking, servers, and cybersecurity fundamentals

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail

Ability to document processes and follow technical procedures accurately

Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and end-users

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred

Familiarity with programming languages, cloud platforms, or IT service tools is a plus

Exposure to Windows Server, Active Directory, or networking tools is a plus
