Senior LevelAverity is a growing startup seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own security across their mobile product ecosystem. The role involves securing applications and infrastructure, running penetration tests, and collaborating with engineers to integrate security into the development process.

Responsibilities
Lock down the app + backend, run pen tests, threat modeling, and code scans
Build secure auth, protect sensitive data, and harden APIs
Keep CI/CD clean (secrets management, dependency scanning)
Monitor, detect, and respond to any shady activity in prod
Work directly with engineers to make security second nature
Qualification
Required
Solid track record securing apps + cloud environments (bonus if startup/mobile-first)
React Native security know-how (hardening, reverse engineering defense, API security)
Hands-on with Vercel, Supabase, AWS S3
Comfort with OWASP, MASVS, and modern identity systems (OAuth2, JWT, MFA)
Familiar with tools for scanning, monitoring, vuln management
Preferred
OSCP, CISSP, or AWS Security certs
Regulated industry experience (finance, healthcare)
Data privacy chops (GDPR, CCPA)
