Grants Development Specialist

Boston Public Health Commission is dedicated to securing external funding for its programs through the Grants Development Office. The Grants Development Specialist will collaborate with program staff to identify funding opportunities, assist in grant writing, and ensure compliance with grant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Contribute to making BPHC an antiracist organization
Collaborate with program staff to research, identify, and evaluate funding opportunities
Assist in planning, writing, and preparing public health grant proposals
Work with the Grants Development team to develop key sections of proposals
Aid in preparing administrative components of proposal submissions
Ensure budgets align with BPHC guidelines and policies
Provide ongoing training and technical assistance to program teams
Collaborate with the Grants Development Director on accessing grant submission processes and databases
Ensure policies related to grant offices are updated and available online
Update grants information and support resources for BPHC staff on the Intranet
Prepare and circulate BPHC Indirect cost and/or Fringe benefit waivers
Meet regularly with Bureaus and programs for information gathering, training, and TA
Collaborate with program staff to maintain accurate grant application records
Develop an annual report highlighting outcomes and metrics of the Grants Development Office
Assist with grant amendments, progress reports, and information requests
Provide technical assistance to grant program teams around reporting, budgeting, and funding restrictions
Collaborate with principal investigators on compliance and post-award processes
Work with funded teams to create a Project Fact Sheet for new grants
Receive ongoing training to provide technical assistance to program teams in budget monitoring
Collaborate with BPHC Programs on 'Just in Time Requests' and annual renewal documentation
Collaborate with the Post-Award grants team to provide guidance to PIs on regulatory and compliance monitoring post-award
