Children Program Supervisor
Apex Yapı Mimarlık Ltd. Şti. is seeking a Children Program Supervisor to develop, implement, and evaluate community programs for children and families. The role involves overseeing summer and winter camps, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, and managing staff and program quality.

Responsibilities
Responsible for researching, designing, planning, coordinating and evaluating educational opportunities and programs Facilitates, overseas and supervise summer camps, winter camps, spring camps including personnel, activities, safety and maintenance
Creates and implements children’s programs including researching other organizations and programs
Ensures the quality of all programs through training of employees, contracted staff and monitoring of facilities
Ensures all children’s programs are in compliance with all AZ licensing requirements
Serves as “Director” on childcare license which includes complying with appropriate staffing levels, ensuring all staff is licensed appropriately, creating daily schedule for camp, scheduling fieldtrips, scheduling guest speakers and working with accounting for payments and invoices
Oversee Adventure Club including personnel, activities, safety and maintenance
Creates and oversees special children’s programs and family activities which may include Father-Daughter Dance, Monster Ball, Mother-Son activities, Lunch Break, Valentines Dance, Cheer and Misc
Promote programs through proactive marketing and presentation to the public
Collaborate with other departments to ensure positive public relations
Input on the financial results of outlined areas of responsibility
Works with managers on the fiscal budget, controls cost and generates revenue
Helps prepare and analyze reports and public surveys relating to programs, attendance, program evaluation, interests, special events, etc
Orders and controls supply and equipment; maintains accurate inventory
Works to ensure departmental and organizational goals and objectives are fulfilled
In conjunction with Communications Department, prepares newsletters and brochures for programs
Responsible for providing timely information to be included in each Activity Guide
Ensures web portal contains current program information and announcements
Helps manage various contracts for services
Executes emergency action plans in the event of an emergency
Performs first aid functions; provides emergency care until arrival of EMS
Ensures programs are accurately entered into Civic Rec, both by entering in directly and/or supervising staff entering in the information
Assists with staff meetings, addresses staff performance issues, completes performance evaluations and new hire orientations
Schedules appropriate staff levels, reviews time off requests, and approves bi-weekly payroll for processing
Consults with HR on escalated employee issues
Confers with HR on payroll, worker’s compensation, safety and all other responsibilities related to human resource compliance
Functions as Community Center Manager on Duty (MOD) on evenings and weekends as designated
Performs work of those supervised as necessary
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position
Assists with special events outside of the normal work schedule
Engage in active cross training with other Program Managers, as assigned by the Director, to cover responsibilities during absences
Knowledge or experience in other sports or programs ideal
Covers the Manager on Duty shift at least once per week for the community center
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent with 60 hours ECE (early childhood education) trainings AND an additional twelve hours in program administration, planning, development or management AND twenty four (24) months experience OR NAC/CDA/CCP/CPC and 18 months experience OR HS Diploma or equivalent with 6 college credits in ECE & 24 months experience OR AA degree in ECE/closely related field and 6 months experience OR BA degree in ECE/closely related field and 3 months experience OR total of twenty four (24) credits with 6 credits in ECE and 18 months experience
Minimum age – 21
Knowledge of objectives and principles of administration of public recreation programs
Supervisory experience required
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite required
Capable of working hours including extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and Anthem signature events as necessary
Knowledge of current principles and practices related to the coordination of a comprehensive community recreation program
Knowledge of Standard First Aid, CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens procedures, CPR, AED & First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of employment
A health care provider's signed statement saying employee is free from TB, dated w/in 6 months of start date
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card
Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations or sign decline waiver
Other requirements as outlined by AZ for the Director on child license
Schedule is flexible and variable within our 7-day work week working mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, some holidays
Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a personal computer, printer, facsimile machine, phone, and various other routine business equipment items
Ability to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing
Must be able to speak, read and write English so that various types of communication may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities both in person and over the phone
Perform physical activities (possibly for extended periods of time) that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, with a full range of motions including walking, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting, and carrying
Position requires the ability to exert minimal force of up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds of force to move objects
Ability to transport oneself around office and community
Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays
Must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns
Must be able to work effectively with a positive attitude and demeanor in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties
Position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate to an outdoors setting with variable climate
Preferred
Associates Degree or some college preferred
Knowledge or experience in other sports or programs ideal
