EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer (EI) to join our Urban Design team. The role involves preparing conceptual plans and various engineering drawings while working under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities

Work includes preparing conceptual plans, exhibits, and plan sets
May include drainage analysis, preparing surfaces, line work and contour drawings from survey data points; developing plan and profile drawings and details, grading, utility plans, storm sewers, roadways, required easements, access drives, parking and more, in accordance with local zoning standards and internal EMH&T drafting standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
0 - 4 years experience
Ability to apply engineering knowledge to practical design challenges
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work independently after receiving appropriate guidance
Collaborate effectively with team members in a supportive and cooperative environment

Preferred

Work experience, including internships or co-op experiences in civil, construction, or a related area and exposure to engineering consulting firm environment
