Responsibilities
Acts as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, other functions to expedite product flow
Continually address issues with problem-solving techniques that impact velocity and solve issues identified to root cause
Proactively identify and address potential problems or constraints in the production process for improvements or cost reduction
Interact with engineering to drive tooling, NPI and process improvements
Supports engineering and manufacturing with data collection, compiling information and analysis to support process control
Coordinate information flow, e.g., reviews shift reports and connects with supervisors to determine areas for focus, communicates material requests, etc. – provides updates on issues and resolution to appropriate functions within the plant
Keeps workstations stocked with material replenishment
Support operations as a contact in out-of-cycle tasks related to raw materials, parts, removal of waste, moving kanban cards, updates to electronic productivity and other status boards, missing instructions, quality issues, etc
Coordinates with engineering to understand risk of deviations and variations in processes
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years work experience
Preferred
Associate degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical technology
Bachelor's degree in technical area - engineering, technology, science, mathematics or statistics, or related field
2 years of work experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Reading blueprints / specifications
Understanding of production processes and manufacturing related metrics
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently and in a team collaborating with others
