Responsibilities

Define and lead the AI strategy for our SaaS products and ULTRUS platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer value

Define and drive the technical roadmap for Agentic AI and platform development

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Software Engineering, and global technology to align engineering priorities with business goals

Partner with Business and sales leaders on customer discovery and demonstrate AI thought leadership to win customer deals

Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning across engineering teams

Assume the role of AI technical expert in leading the architecting and development of scalable and secure AI infrastructure driving AI usage with seamless integration across our SaaS products and ULTRUS platform

Drive execution of multiple AI initiatives annually, including:

Intelligent data extraction and classification

Workflow and task automation

Generative content and insights

AI-assisted onboarding and customer support

Research acceleration through intelligent agents

Deploy AI solutions and leverage metrics to support predictions, recommendations, search, and data extraction strategies

Lead the design and implementation of Agentic AI models and algorithms, including evolving strategies and optimization techniques

Understand ethical implications of AI and ensure team develops responsible and fair solutions and systems for customers and ULS

Evaluate the technical feasibility of projects, make informed architectural decisions, and troubleshoot complex technical issues

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of software and data engineers, ML Ops and AI specialists with strong cross-functional collaboration

Collaborate with the AI team, software engineering and product teams to translate business needs into technical deliverables for AI team

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Manage resource allocation, performance reviews, and career development

Oversee project timelines, budgets, deliverables and mitigate risks

Implement metrics to measure system performance, reliability, and scalability

Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards

Ensure engineering best practices in software development, testing, and deployment in delivery of AI solutions

Work with legal team and AI committee to facilitate AI use case approval and compliance with ULS AI policy

Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights that align with strategic goals

Articulate the value and limitations of AI projects to non-technical stakeholders

Understand the markets we play in and our competitors, collaborate with product and innovation leaders on AI opportunities to create differentiated value for customer and business

Build and nurture a technically sophisticated AI user community around the ULTRUS platform

Develop resources, documentation, and engagement strategies to support external developers, researchers, and partners

Host technical forums, webinars, and workshops to share knowledge and gather feedback

Encourage open-source contributions and foster collaboration across the AI ecosystem

Required

University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science or a related discipline

Generally, 15 Years or more of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency including 10 Years or more of relevant management/leadership experience

Proven expertise in software development, with a strong focus on AL/ML technologies, such as Agentic AI, Generative AI, machine learning concepts, deep learning, predictive learning data engineering concepts, MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices

Understanding cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices architecture, platform engineering, and how to scale AI applications

Demonstrated experience in building and engaging technical communities

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder (both technical and non-technical) management skills

Experience in regulatory and sustainability industries is a plus

Prior experience successfully leading in a matrixed organizational structure

Outstanding motivational and coaching abilities; a team builder and leader; ability to inspire an organization to reach superior levels of performance

Innovative and resourceful problem solver with a strong entrepreneurial mindset

Proven ability to be firm and decisive in addressing difficult issues and can operate effectively in fast paced and demanding environments
