Responsibilities

Serve as a compelling public representative of Edo with utility leaders, partners, and public stakeholders
Build strategic partnerships and represent the company in key industry forums to strengthen Edo’s market position
Lead the transition from pilot-scale deployments to scalable, high-impact programs that improve unit economics and operational leverage
Align cross-functional execution, spanning delivery, product, sales, and finance, around clear market signals and growth priorities
Drive internal improvements across systems, processes, and team structure to enable faster, more efficient delivery
Collaborate with technical and delivery leads to improve solution repeatability, cost structure and gross margins
Ensure organizational alignment through goal-setting, clear communication and strong day-to-day leadership
Lead the development and execution of a long-term strategy that positions Edo as a market leader in commercial building demand flexibility
Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans across product, markets, and operations
Adapt and evolve the company’s approach based on customer, market, and regulatory insights
Inspire and lead a high-performing, mission-driven team with a strong sense of purpose
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparency aligned with Edo’s Values and Principles
Attract and retain top talent while developing future leaders across the organization
Act as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors. Provide regular updates and ensure alignment on strategic priorities
Oversee budgeting, capital allocation, and financial planning in partnership with internal leaders
Prepare for and guide future capital raising activities, including potential strategic funding rounds

Required

Prior experience as a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a growth-stage company (10 to 100+ employees)
Deep familiarity with the U.S. utility sector, including executive relationships and regulatory context
Experience scaling revenue-generating businesses that include software, services, or hybrid delivery models
Demonstrated ability to manage investor relationships and guide capital strategy
Strong understanding of the commercial building sector, including technologies, retrofit cycles, and stakeholder dynamics
Strategic thinker who can focus the organization on the highest-impact initiatives
Clear and compelling communicator, able to engage a wide range of stakeholders with credibility and empathy
Track record of strong but collaborative leadership, especially in multi-stakeholder settings
Low-ego, high-ownership mindset
Mission-oriented but pragmatic in approach
Comfortable leading in ambiguity, with a steady hand during transition and growth

Preferred

Familiarity with utility grid programs, energy markets, or virtual power plant (VPP) models is strongly preferred, especially as applied to commercial buildings and flexible demand solutions
