Responsibilities

Support a variety of skilled troubleshooting, maintenance, modification and repair work on various plant equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC and compressors

Assist the Tool and Die Makers plan their work and all the various stages to obtain completion of a job in a cost effective manner

Work directly with engineers and other technical personnel to make changes in tooling and build jigs, fixtures and gages

Make vendor contacts

Able to read manufacturing prints /GDT

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma or GED required

Some mechanical or trigonometry courses required

Must have experience as a Machinist or have taken machining courses

Mechanical Aptitude

Proficiency with computers

Extensive knowledge of PLC and machine automation and mechanical systems

Moderate knowledge of electrical systems up to 480v

Intermediate reading and writing skills in English

Math skills, particularly in Trigonometry

Able to work overtime when necessary

Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling

Manual dexterity required for assembly and operating tools and machines

Ability to safely operate moving equipment properly without risk to self, others and equipment

Preferred

Experience with SolidWorks, preferred but not required

Moderate knowledge of combustion systems (preferred)
