RK&K is a full-service engineering and construction management firm looking to hire Transportation Engineers in Tampa, Florida. As a Roadway Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of transportation facilities, including new roadways, widenings, and multimodal improvements.

Responsibilities

Design and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignments
Prepare plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets
Design temporary traffic control plans
Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates
Support preparation of design documentation
Support preparation of specifications packages
Work with other disciplines on creative solutions to design challenges

Qualification

Roadway design experienceCivil Engineering degreeEngineering Intern licenseFDOT design experienceOpen Roads Designer experienceBasic roadway design principles

Required

Minimum Two (2) years of experience in roadway design
Working knowledge of basic roadway design principals
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
Engineering Intern (E.I.) license in Florida or ability to obtain within six (6) months
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design experience
Open Roads Designer (ORD)/FDOT Connect experience

Preferred

Four (4) plus years of experience in roadway design
