Responsibilities
Inspects and reports deficiencies associated with Company owned vehicles and equipment to set standards:
Discusses equipment movement needs with local management. Reports movement needs to the Fleet Director
Identifies and reports opportunities for improved equipment utilization, effectiveness and productivity
Verifies and reports transport readiness:
Verifies equipment is ready for pick up
Identifies concerns about transport and reports to the appropriate Mobilization Driver
Alerts Fleet department of urgent transport needs
Delivers documentation, license plates, small equipment, etc to job sites as requested
Assists in the planning of equipment audits and participates in audit performance
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
In depth knowledge of DOT equipment requirements
Ability to identify equipment types and sizes used in the telecommunications industry
Ability to recognize symptoms of lack of appropriate vehicle and/or construction equipment service
Commitment to compliance with and communication of service needs
Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos
Effective and respectful written and verbal communication with all applicable stakeholders, both internal and external
Problem solver and logical thinker
Team oriented, keeping the organizational needs at the forefront
Familiarity with Google-based applications such as G-mail, Google docs and sheets
Proficient use of computer hardware and software including but not limited to Internet software and databases
Understanding and use of general arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, units of measurement
Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as needed
Maintains current DOT health card
Valid driver's license with favorable driving record required – Class A license preferred
