Responsibilities

Architect & Deploy: Design and customize Poolside deployments across Kubernetes and Terraform-based environments (cloud, hybrid, on-prem)
Troubleshoot & Optimize: Diagnose complex infrastructure and networking issues across clusters, storage, and CI/CD pipelines
Automate & Improve: Build automation workflows using Ansible, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD to streamline provisioning, upgrades, and monitoring
Collaborate & Guide: Work directly with customer DevOps and security teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and observability
Evolve the Platform: Contribute to Poolside’s core deployment framework—improving standardization, resilience, and operator experience
Document & Share: Maintain clear runbooks, deployment guides, and internal documentation for repeatable success

Qualification

Required

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (Helm, operators, manifests, troubleshooting pods, services, ingress, etc.)
Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also valuable)
Deep understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, and certificates
Comfort with Linux, Docker, Git, and modern DevOps workflows
Familiarity with monitoring & observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.)
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions
Strong debugging and process-of-elimination troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication—able to bridge engineering detail and customer context

Preferred

Experience deploying or securing AI/ML systems in production
Familiarity with RKE2, air-gapped environments, and STIG-hardened operating systems
Programming knowledge in Python, Go, or Bash
Background in government, defense, or regulated industries
