Axon Medical Centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join their dynamic radiology team. The successful candidate will perform MRI procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring their comfort and safety
Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images, adjusting settings as necessary to obtain optimal results
Review and evaluate images for quality, making adjustments as needed and collaborating with radiologists for accurate interpretation
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile and safe environment
Assist in scheduling and coordinating MRI appointments, ensuring efficient workflow within the department
Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in MRI technology and techniques
Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on MRI equipment
Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualification

MRI CertificationRadiologic Technology DegreeMRI Safety ProtocolsOperating MRI EquipmentStress ManagementCommunication SkillsInterpersonal SkillsAttention to DetailTeamwork

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI
State licensure, if required
Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and procedures
Excellent technical skills in operating MRI equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality imaging services
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
Ability to lift and move patients as needed
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Manual dexterity to operate MRI equipment

Preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
