Responsibilities
Manage payment plan and stipulation collection cases from start to finish
Field outbound and incoming calls with professionalism, answering debtor inquiries, explaining account details, and resolving disputes in real-time
Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, and payment schedules in compliance with applicable laws
Conduct skip tracing and investigative research to locate debtors and assets
Execute outbound calling campaigns to initiate contact, negotiate settlements, and develop payment plans that work
Partner with attorneys to create and execute strategic recovery plans
Keep your case pipeline moving and documented — every call, every payment, every win
Balance high-volume call activity with quality case management to maximize recovery outcomes
Maintain the highest compliance standards (FDCPA/TCPA) during all phone interactions while aggressively pursuing results
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in collections, creditors' rights
Experience in collections, with a strong emphasis on first-party collections
Demonstrate a proven track record of successful debt collection, negotiation, and recovery through professional and ethical practices
Proficiency in legal software, case management systems, and court portals
Strong ownership and follow-through on tasks, with a proactive and organized approach
Demonstrated experience with skip tracing techniques, including the use of databases, public records, and investigative tools to locate debtors
Apply comprehensive knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to ensure all collection activities are compliant with federal regulations and industry standards
Skilled in navigating structured environments and adhering to legal procedures
Professional communicator, capable of handling interactions with attorneys, clients, and difficult individuals
Calm under pressure, with excellent multitasking and deadline management abilities
Detail-oriented and forward-thinking, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Experience providing support for attorneys by conducting legal research, document review and management, drafting legal documents, E-Discovery, etc
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with office management software is a plus
