Responsibilities

Manage projects and project teams to navigate today’s complex mining regulatory landscape

Help aggregate and hardrock mining clients to secure permits and complete projects in a timely manner

Influence the entire project – from assessment and investigation, to conceptual design plans, through completion of permitting, bidding, and construction

Serve as a mentor to junior staff, educating them about field data collection, engineering and environmental design parameters, as well as the regulatory criteria as they relate to the aggregate and hardrock mining clients and projects

Required

B.S. in Civil, Environmental of Mining Engineering

Minimum 7+ years of experience in managing infrastructure design, civil engineering, permitting and/or environmental compliance activities for mining companies in the southwestern US

Working knowledge of state and federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to aggregate and hardrock mining

Experience working with regulatory agency personnel in the southwestern US

Ability to prepare manage and review permit applications and engineering plan submittals

Demonstrated success in the development and execution of mining/quarry business development strategies including creation of market/client intelligence, win themes, visitation schedules, client relationship management, and revenue generation
