Senior Systems Engineer - Rotary Wing Displays (Onsite)

Responsibilities
You will lead the design, development, and maintaining of flight-critical embedded software for military avionics displays supporting programs such as Ch-53K, CH-47f, Coast Guard and beyond
You will conduct engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures
You will assist in conducting disciplinary research on one or more stages of the equipment design phase to develop design options and recommendations
You will determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition
You will assist an engineering team by organizing tasks, coordinating team efforts, asking questions, communicating status, raising issues, brainstorming ideas, helping others, practicing active listening, and promoting a collaborative environment
5-10% travel as needed
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Familiarity with Python
Preferred
Earned Value Management Experience
Avionics experience (development or usage)
Software development or testing experience
AGILE development experience
DO-178 (or similar) certification-based development experience
Excellent, proactive, communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
