Performs procedures done in the cardiology department

Conducts a diagnostic exam with an echocardiogram test that uses sound waves to create live images of the heart

Measures cardiovascular health by viewing blood flow and valve movement with the echocardiogram

Qualification

EchocardiographyCardiac SonographyCPR CertificationBasic Arrhythmia CourseTeamwork

Required

Six months experience in performing ECHOs

Certification by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers for Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers

Maintains CPR certification

Completion of the Basic Arrhythmia Course
