Responsibilities
Perform radiographic procedures independently at a technical level
Responsible for performing technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis
Perform patient intake by collecting medical history and answering patient questions regarding the imaging procedure
Follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably
Operate imaging equipment proficiently in several different settings including surgery and fluoroscopy procedures
Demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in special populations such as children, the elderly, and patients with debilitating conditions
Confer with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborate to determine whether additional images are required
Qualification
Required
Completion of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree
Radiology License Radiology Registration IEMA License in Radiography
Radiology Registration from ARRT or Registry Eligible (Must obtain within 6 months of hire if not already registered American Heart Association (BLS)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented
Preferred
Previous experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology
Previous experience in customer service/patient experience setting
