Responsibilities

Performing calculations, developing design plans and details for green infrastructure and stormwater management practices
Developing site grading, site and roadway layout, parking lot payout, lighting design and utility design associated with commercial, industrial, residential developments, and electrical substations
Assisting with transportation aspects of projects including access, internal circulation such as AutoTURN, and parking lot maneuverability
Perform tributary drainage area analysis and sizing of stormwater management systems
Preparing permit packages for City and/or State Agencies
Preparing and reviewing technical reports (drainage reports, due diligence reports, technical memos and SWPPP’s)
Preparing cost estimates for conceptual level design and final design
Field work for data gathering, surveys, and construction observations

Qualification

AutoCADAutoCAD Civil 3DEIT certificationModeling softwareNYC DEP Stormwater knowledgeDetail orientedWriting skills

Required

A bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or water resources engineering
Minimum of 0-3 years related experience
Strong understanding of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with modeling software, such as AutoTURN, DiaLux Evo
Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills
EIT is required

Preferred

PE is preferred
Knowledge of NYC DEP Stormwater Rules and Permits is desired but not required
