Responsibilities

Record parts and materials used, record repairs and maintenance performed

Inventory kept and managed of all spare parts (including pricing)

Will insource parts as needed based in inventory levels

General upkeep of Maintenance Department

Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery

Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs

Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear

Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs

Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment

Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment

Responsible to uphold and maintain the food safety and quality systems

Required

High school diploma or GED or 1-2 years of previous machine maintenance experience, electrical helpful

Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics

Sufficient reading level to understand written requirements/instructions

Working knowledge of rigging methods used to move heavy equipment

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, stand for up to 8 hours, use of hands

Above average understanding of basic computer principles (Microsoft Excel, Word) to properly enter quality control information, and inventory information
