Responsibilities

Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing It Safe
Ensure a safe Work Environment is maintained, where our people can safely grow and develop
Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and initiatives and champion and engage all staff and employees in cultivating and promoting a Safety-First Culture
Participate in Crescent’s talent development and recognition processes
Support Training Programs to ensure Crescent People have been appropriately trained to successfully satisfy required role and responsibilities as defined
Assist Logistics Supervisor with training Shipping & Receiving Coordinators as needed
Promote a Work Environment where Crescent People are valued and can safely communicate, grow and develop
Direct all Shipping/Receiving inbound/outbound stock transfers, including support activity on returns and obsolete lists and customer special requests to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met
Champion the Crescent Culture of Doing it Right, Doing it Safe and Doing it Well and abide by all written and understood policies and procedures
Identify, drive and support all Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts
All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the identification and training of an individual capable of successfully completing all stated Key Responsibilities as appropriate to maintain integrity of position for progression planning and coverage during times of absence
Adhere to all quality standards
Promote culture of quality to all team members
Monitor data and productivity of Shipping & Receiving Coordinators, and work with supervisor to improve team’s efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure our customer’s need for quality is understood and built into each process
Ensure inventory accuracy
Ensure all Shipping/Receiving processes, programs and controls are intact and executed against to deliver top quality product to all Crescent customers
Report well documented and accurate metrics on S/R reports
Manage customer relationships, reporting and communication to ensure customers are well informed on status of Capacity, Trailers, Returns/Obsoletes, Directs, & any other Customer Special Requests
Improve organizational efficiency and continuously improve processes to eliminate waste
Manage the correct use of all material and supplies
Ensure the complete integrity and timeliness of all data in our operating systems

Shipping/Receiving experienceLogistics functions experienceSAP systems experienceMicrosoft Office proficiencyEffective communication

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Experience with Shipping/Receiving & Logistics Functions
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications

Preferred

SAP systems experience with shipping functions
