The role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing engineering enablement assets, and overseeing compliance and quality within the engineering enterprise.

Responsibilities
Implementing the Aero Operating Model (AOM) and leading Break Through Objectives (BTO) and Agile Integrated Product (AIP) initiatives to align with strategic goals
Coordinating corrective actions (CAR/ICAR), Make/Buy Board decisions, and the Engineering Development Network (EDN) / Unclassified Development Network (UDN)
Managing engineering enablement assets such as the Engineering Tools Board, IP/Patent Management, facilities and material management account systems, and the IT portfolio
Overseeing compliance and quality through AS9100 audit management, E&T command media administration, and maintenance of the Lessons Learned database
Supporting workforce initiatives including workforce development and training, metrics and data integration, overhead budget planning, and staffing/ workforce planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field
Minimum 7 years of experience in a large‑scale aerospace or defense engineering environment, with proven exposure to one or more of the following: Corrective Action/Incident Management, Process improvement frameworks, Cross‑functional program governance (boards, committees)
Proficiency with enterprise tools
Strong data‑analysis abilities (Excel, Tableau)
Familiarity with engineering standards and audit processes
Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of producing clear executive‑level briefings and technical documentation
You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Master's in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration
Project Management Experience
Agile Experience
Experience applying structured change‑management methodologies
Track record of driving operational‑excellence programs in a large, complex aerospace or defense environments
Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and sustaining continuous‑improvement initiatives
Success in leading cross‑functional teams to achieve measurable performance gains (e.g., reduced cycle time, improved quality metrics, cost savings)
Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and influence without direct authority
