Senior Space Systems Engineer
QinetiQ US is a mission-led innovation company that collaborates with the US Space Force and Department of Defense to ensure national security. They are seeking a Senior Space Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise and operational insight for classified space control systems, while supporting program acquisition efforts and technical engagements.

Responsibilities
Provide operational and technical advice for projects and programs as well as support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities
Support the revision or drafting of JCIDS and acquisition documentation such as Initial Capability Documents, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Technical/Systems Requirement Documents, Technical Evaluations, and System Specifications
Provide inputs and support on technical and/or programmatic status reporting of individual projects, programs, or portfolios
Identify areas of improvement with actionable, feasible recommendations, and tasks for reducing risk where appropriate as well as support risk identification, process definition, and detailed technical risk mitigation plans
Maintain a broad awareness and understanding of all programs and technology development efforts in execution across the applicable portfolio as well as assist integrated product teams and working groups
Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements (e.g., technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, etc.) as well as establish customer and contractor interfaces
Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments
Recommend viable solutions for technical anomalies
Support the development, delivery, review, and evaluation of impact analyses, audits, studies, compliance inspections, and readiness reviews
Provide engineering and technical expertise to support ongoing and new/advanced C2 efforts and help integrate into the classified portfolio
Qualification
Required
Expert in classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems including concept, development, building, and testing phases
Expert in space control-related technologies, including but not limited to, electromagnetic spectrum, signal processing, and communications
Expert in developing and managing technical requirements and space system acquisition efforts
Highly knowledgeable in electronic attack technologies and system design implementation
Highly knowledgeable in modeling and simulation, with a demonstrated ability to develop models and assess technical requirements
Highly knowledgeable in classified space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including but not limited to requirements development, configuration control, and government Deficiency Review (DR) board establishment, execution, and DR disposition and management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to identify and solve problems
Masters Degree
20+ years of relevant experience
