Responsibilities

You will enable customers of Magic Transit, Magic WAN, and other Cloudflare products to connect with Cloudflare over private and high speed data center interconnects
You will build software on top of one of the largest edge networks in the world, and partner with some of the best engineers and product managers to build robust, automated systems driving hundreds of gigs of customer traffic

Required

3 years of relevant Software Engineering or SRE experience
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Rust programming
Experience building on top of Linux networking primitives - e.g. ip, tc, network namespaces, etc
Familiarity with network engineering tools and protocols used in data center switching and routing - e.g. BGP, BFD, VXLAN, etc
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and backend systems, especially asynchronous architectures and those deployed onto serverless platforms like Cloudflare Workers
Experience with running virtual machines on Linux
Able to work across teams and level common, sustainable solutions
Focus on clarity in written and verbal communication

Preferred

Experience with Linux Switchdev, or network OSes like Cumulus or SONiC
Developing, working on, or modifying the Linux kernel
Experience maintaining asynchronous and distributed HTTP backends for infrastructure and/or network configuration
