They are seeking a Power Electronics & Controls Engineer II to design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry while guiding ECAD personnel and presenting technical data to leadership.

Responsibilities
Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard non-isolated power conversion topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost) including modules and discrete designs
Guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation
Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule
Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with linear converters
Experience designing low level electronics components
Experience with any of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost
Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and/or Op-amp circuits
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Lab experience specific to power electronics and/or controls electronics
Experience with software tools for electrical circuit simulation and/or printed circuit board layout
Experience with fundamental power conversion concepts, components, and techniques
Experience with commonly used power converter and/or motor drive control schemes
Experience with circuit simulators such as SIMPLIS, Saber and/or analysis tool Mathcad
Experience with military specifications
