Responsibilities

Work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects
Perform field investigations, assisting in traffic analysis, design, and construction support tasks
Ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects
Prepare construction cost estimates and quantities
Design Traffic Signals and signal timings per agency standards
Prepare Traffic Signal plans
Experienced in or have the ability to learn traffic modeling
Prior software experience including Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, AIMSUN, CUBE, TransCAD, ARCGIS a plus

Required

Bachelor's of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering
0-3 years experience in the field of traffic engineering
Ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects
Perform field investigations, assisting in traffic analysis, design, and construction support tasks

Design Traffic Signals and signal timings per agency standards
Prepare Traffic Signal plans
Experienced in or have the ability to learn traffic modeling

Preferred

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred
Prior software experience including Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, AIMSUN, CUBE, TransCAD, ARCGIS a plus
Familiarity with ITS technologies and wireless communications is a plus
Familiarity with NJDOT, NJTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or PANYNJ highway projects preferred but not required
