Registered Nurse - Internal Travel Team – ICU/PACU/Procedural - RN

Responsibilities
Rotate across Mayo Clinic sites in Arizona, Florida, Minnesota and Wisconsin as determined by patient care needs
Complete orientation coursework including Foundations of Critical Care Nursing (FCCN) and ACLS (if not already certified)
Be assigned to ICU, PACU, or Procedural areas and float to PCU and Med/Surg areas as needed
Accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care
Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family
Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients
Provide leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts
Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability of resources
Possess excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects
Provide contingency staffing support across Mayo Clinic nursing sites as determined by staffing and patient care needs
Travel on a routine basis to various locations and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work assignments and schedules
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Completion of orientation coursework including Foundations of Critical Care Nursing (FCCN) and ACLS (if not already certified)
PCCN certification may be substituted for FCCN coursework
Ability to float to PCU and Med/Surg areas as needed
Excellent communication skills
Skillful in mentoring and teaching
Flexibility and adaptability in work assignments and work schedules
Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification
