Responsibilities
Perform analysis and design and prepare technical reports for structural projects which include buildings, but also bridges, retaining walls, transit and waterfront structures, municipal facilities, and parking structures
Perform quality control of calculations and plan sheets
Mentor staff and growth within the organization
Read, interpret, and produce complex plans
Work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other team members
As applicable, serve as a technical lead to review, assign work, and/or check design calculations and quantities by junior engineers
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, advanced degree preferred
5-6 years of structural design engineering experience
Experience in seismic design and analysis
Experience using structural analysis programs and design software
Working knowledge of framing and building systems, including wood, steel, concrete and masonry
Self-starter with a desire to work and learn with a great group of engineers and ability to work in an environment that can occasionally be fast paced
Preferred
Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in Washington State, Registered Structural Engineer in Washington State preferred
Eight years of structural design engineering experience
