Advanced Practice Provider, Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease
The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease. This role involves performing responsible clinical care in collaboration with the unit physician, managing the medical aspects of patient care, and participating in quality improvement projects.
Responsibilities
Work with Director, other faculty, staff, and other hospital care providers (HCPs) to build an outstanding academic endocrinology division
Maintain and enhance positive, collaborative, and vibrant culture of the division
Actively participate in quality improvement projects of the division as assigned by Director
Sees outpatients in clinic as assigned by Director
Participate in inpatient services as assigned by Division Director
Participate in on call coverage as assigned by Director
Qualification
Required
Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas Physician Assistant Board/Texas Medical Board (TPAB/TMB)
Completion of a graduate level (or higher) nurse practitioner program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Texas Board of Nursing (TBON)
Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in a nurse practitioner clinical area of specialization by the Texas Board of Nursing (TBON)
