They are seeking an ambitious Software Engineer to join the Model Development and Management team to build the self-serve user interface layer for Netflix’s MLP, focusing on accelerating model creation, evaluation, experimentation, and deployment.

Responsibilities
Gather requirements, design, and implement products that help accelerate model development for personalization use cases
Work alongside applied researchers and data scientists on the cutting edge of machine learning
Engage with the ML community to source feedback, identify pain points, and opportunities to evolve Metaflow and the Machine Learning Platform
Partner with the OSS Metaflow development community to ensure a mutually beneficial roadmap and relationship
Qualification
Required
Experience developing platform solutions tailored for ML Researchers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists, emphasizing a user-first approach and demonstrating strong user empathy
Excellent software design and development skills in Python along with one of Scala, Java, C++
Experience working with state-of-the-art ML model development in one of the domains, such as recommendation model development, content understanding or content generation
Broad understanding of core machine learning concepts and their application in large-scale, real-world machine-learning systems
5+ years of full time software engineering or machine learning experience with a bachelor's and master's degree; or PhD degree
Preferred
Experience building machine learning models or LLMs
Experience with deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc
Experience working with public clouds, especially AWS
Significant contributions to open source projects
