Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems with a focus on HVAC
Utilize Revit and Navisworks for modeling and project coordination
Conduct design coordination meetings and collaborate with other engineering disciplines
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts in design using Navisworks
Oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes in mechanical design projects
Coordinate with subcontractors and field construction teams to ensure design accuracy during implementation
Manage design changes and revisions effectively to maintain project timelines
Participate in cost estimating and value analysis for mechanical systems
Implement BIM technologies and practices to optimize design and construction processes
Review construction methods and schedules to ensure project efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, specifically HVAC
Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks is essential
Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control standards
Experience with clash detection and modeling protocols in a collaborative environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Experience with design coordination and BIM practices is preferred
Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems is a plus
Familiarity with AutoCAD and mechanical contracting processes
