Responsibilities

You will determine electrical integration requirements for technologies included in overall system designs
You will define system power requirements, design circuit protection, and permit drawing packages
You will develop electrical device layouts, motor control panel designs, electrical panel and field device schematics, and electrical equipment bill of material lists to support control and system functionality
You will design control network architecture layouts
You will apply knowledge of electrical design codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, UL, OSHA) to ensure system design compliance
You will develop RFQ packages for electrical installation, detailing the scope of work, system quantities, and equipment requirements
You will create electrical equipment purchase requisitions
You will lead electrical design discussions during system design review meetings
You will provide electrical design status updates for internal and external project stakeholders
You will travel up to 30% for site evaluations and project assessments

Required

You have obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
You have gained a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the warehouse and distribution industry, with a focus on electrical systems
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities to engage confidently with customers and internal teams, and the capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting project deadlines
You have proven experience designing electrical system layouts, including power distribution, conveyor motor control panels, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar tools, based on mechanical system data such as equipment layout, motor horsepower, and throughput requirements
You have direct experience with industrial control systems and communication protocols such as Ethernet, Profinet, and Profibus
You collaborate effectively with controls engineering, project management, and installation teams to support overall system functionality throughout the project lifecycle
You demonstrate the ability to lead and contribute to design review meetings, communicate engineering decisions, and resolve technical issues in the field
