MercyOne Central Iowa is a leading healthcare provider in the Des Moines metro area. They are seeking a CT Tech to perform C.T. procedures, provide patient care, and educate families while maintaining a clean and safe environment in the department.

Responsibilities

Performs C.T. procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback and operates C.T. equipment

Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems

Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists

Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol

Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner

Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med

Complies with OSHA/JCAHO and other regulatory agency recommendations and guidelines

Radiologic TechnologyCT credentialBasic Life SupportActive registry statusPatient education

Required

Must have relevant credentials as defined below:

Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB)

Maintains active registry status

Maintains current state of employment Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire

Maintains Basic Life Support qualification

Preferred

Previous CT experience preferred

CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) preferred
