Responsibilities

Attends rehearsals and performances in support of the Music Department
Ensures that students have opportunity to learn the music score, diction, pitch, tempo, rhythm, and style
Coordinates lesson plans with Instructor
Monitors that students meet their rehearsal requirements
Provides Instructor with student evaluations of practice effort and approach during rehearsals
Provides piano accompaniment for music activities to include choirs/instrumental/solo rehearsals and performances, assists students to read the assigned music with the right tempo, rhythm, pitch, diction and style
Performs at major productions as scheduled by Instructor
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Qualification

Skilled pianistVocal repertoire knowledgeSight-reading abilityDegree in MusicExperience in higher educationPositive demeanor

Required

Bachelor's degree in Music or related field and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skilled pianist
Extensive knowledge of vocal repertoire
Excellent sight-reading ability
Cheerful and positive demeanor

Preferred

Experience in a higher education setting
Previous experience working with students who have unique barriers and experience in assisting these students with their educational success
