Mammography Technologist - Weekends
Brigham and Women's Hospital is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing patient care, research, teaching, and community service. Responsibilities
Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
Positions patients and uses immobilization if necessary
Selects proper mode to produce correct exposure factors
Evaluates images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed
Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques if appropriate
Explains procedures to patients
Qualification
Required
Certificate or Associates Degree in Medical Imaging required
Radiologic Technologist [MA] required
Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 90 days of start
Mammography [R.T.(M)(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 1 year of start
Preferred
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred
Mammography experience 1-2 years preferred
