Completion of case carts
Proper communication with operating room staff
Cleaning and care of operating rooms, core, and equipment
Decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of instrumentation
Surgeon preference card maintenance
Supply outdates
Weekday and weekend call coverage

Required

Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology through an accredited Surgical Technology program
National Certification as a Surgical First Assistant through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS, within one month of hire
Verbal, written, and computer skills
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Take appropriate action in a stressful environment

Preferred

1-year surgical technologist acute care experience
1 Year surgical assisting acute care experience
