5+ years expPolar IT is working with Capital One on a fully remote AWS Tech Lead position. The role involves leading multiple Data Engineering teams to migrate and transform historical credit card data, ensuring timely delivery and problem-solving in collaboration with senior management.

Responsibilities
Lead 6 separate Data Engineering teams
Ensure team's work is delivered on time
Lead sprint ceremonies for the team
Accountable for problem solving with senior managers
Pivot and adapt quickly based on requirements
Qualification
Required
Candidates must meet all client requirements to qualify for remote
They also need to live near a Capital One hub (Chicago, Boston, NYC, Virginia, Texas, etc.)
Every consultant submitted must have previous leadership experience—no exceptions
Must have Financial experience and/or Capital One Former. Being a former is not required but they must have experience in the financial/Fintech sector
They will not consider anyone currently working as on-prem/Big Data Developers or Hadoop Developers
Candidates must currently be working in the AWS space with experience in Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, and PySpark
Must Have: AWS(EMR/Glue, S3, Lambda, Cloudwatch), Python/Java, Spark, Databricks, SQL, Bash
Python use: scripting, building new data pipelines (not app dev)
Data warehousing experience (Snowflake)
APIs
Agile engineering practices & JIRA usage
Preferred
Capital One formers preferred
Nice to Have: Kafka, Airflow, Open Table formats (Delta, Hudi, Iceberg), Splunk, NewRelic, Github, Jenkins, prior Capital One experience highly preferred
Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves: Kafka, airflow
