Network/Telecom Specialist- Mid Level
GD Resources is a Veteran Women-Owned Business Management and Information Technology company committed to excellence. They are seeking an experienced Network/Telecom Engineer to support public health infrastructure operations, including COVID and other infectious disease case investigation and contact tracing systems.

Responsibilities
Design and maintain both the hardware and software necessary for computer network operations
Specialize in Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), TCP/IP, virtual machines, and/or server/network infrastructure
Install, configure, and administer network routers and switches
Perform installation of cable, wiring, and related equipment for telephony and data interfaces and systems with communications functions
Execute disaster recovery, backup, and archiving procedures to ensure system continuity
Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, database administration, and fault management for network systems
Manage Apache Tomcat and Wildfly configurations for Java web application deployments
Provide support for Linux and Windows clusters, including systems administration and automation tasks
Assist in Storage Area Network (SAN) management and operations
Qualification
Required
Experience in supporting public health infrastructure operations
Hands-on technical experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of network and telecom systems
Experience with Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), TCP/IP, virtual machines, and/or server/network infrastructure
Ability to install, configure, and administer network routers and switches
Experience in installation of cable, wiring, and related equipment for telephony and data interfaces and systems
Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup, and archiving procedures
Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, database administration, and fault management for network systems
Ability to manage Apache Tomcat and Wildfly configurations for Java web application deployments
Support experience for Linux and Windows clusters, including systems administration and automation tasks
Assist in Storage Area Network (SAN) management and operations
Preferred
Experience working with full-time State employees
Experience in public health information network operations
