Information Security Intern
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is a provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for the US Department of Defense. They are seeking an Information Security Intern to assist in protecting systems and data from cyber attacks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities
Experience with any of the following: Windows Operating systems (server and workstation level), Linux Operating System (including CentOS) VMWare or virtualization technologies
Fundamental skills in programming or scripting
Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) familiarity
Participate in the assessment and authorization of software for use in the Department of Defense
Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats and ensure compliance with DoD RMF requirements
Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans, Plan of Action and Milestones, and Risk Assessments
Current college juniors/rising seniors preferred
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Science, or related field
Knowledge of Cyber Security principles and best practices
Up to date on relevant technologies (operating systems)
Ability to travel up to 10%
