Telephone communication with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and other allied health professionals
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent telephone communication skills
Moderate keyboarding is required
Experience proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to prioritize multiple duties
Ability to work accurately with detailed confidential information and maintain confidential information
Must possess basic mathematical skills and have analytical skills to resolve referral issues related to multiple groups including third party payers, physicians, patients and varied computer systems
Utilizes interpersonal communication strategies/skills to achieve outcome/results with patients, family and others
Preferred
Completion of a Medical Assistant course preferred
One to two years Administrative Assistant/Medical Office preferred
Graduate of a Medical Assistant/Secretary program preferred
Knowledge of Meditech software to schedule and register patients is preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
